Enjoy large, fluffy and tender takoyaki in the heart of Shinsekai

This long-established takoyaki shop is one of the most well-known in Shinsekai. It is located in the center of the city, just a short walk from Tsutenkaku, and the shop is always bustling with customers.
The menu has remained the same since the restaurant first opened, with only "takoyaki" (octopus balls). The classic style is topped with sauce, bonito flakes, and green nori (seaweed). Although it looks simple, the fluffy, fatty batter with a gentle dashi aroma and the crunchy texture of the four types of tempura flakes will whet your appetite. Made using custom hand-carved copper plates, the octopus balls are large and filling.
Enjoy freshly made piping hot takoyaki and beer during the day

When the store first opened in 2000, there were still few takoyaki shops in Shinsekai. The owner opened a takoyaki shop that is committed to its flavor, using land that was owned by his family. In the heart of a city that is constantly changing with the times, the store continues to sell the authentic Osaka flavor at reasonable prices.
There is a counter and tables set up in front of the store, so you can eat freshly made takoyaki right away. They also sell beer, highballs, and soft drinks, so you can enjoy a drink during the day while enjoying the lively atmosphere of Shinsekai.

A special okonomiyaki where you can enjoy the delicious flavors of seafood and meat at the same time

Founded in 1951 (Showa 26), this is the okonomiyaki restaurant with the longest history in the New World. Currently, the restaurant is run by the third generation owner and his family.
The recommended dish is the "Mixed Okonomiyaki." The ground beef, unique to Osaka, where beef culture is deeply rooted, adds a juicy and chewy meaty texture to the entire okonomiyaki. You can also enjoy the deliciousness of shrimp and squid, making it a luxurious dish with plenty of ingredients. The iron plate used is twice as thick as usual, so the outside is crispy and the inside is light and fluffy. The "Special Mixed Okonomiyaki," which adds oysters to the mixed okonomiyaki, is also recommended.
Also check out the variety of teppanyaki dishes and the restaurant's original "Usoyaki"

Founded by the grandmother of the current owner, the restaurant originally started out serving okonomiyaki in a corner of a shop selling cosmetics, etc. Nowadays, it attracts so many customers from Japan and abroad that there is a line at lunchtime.
The shop's original "Usoyaki" was created in response to a request from a regular customer who wanted udon noodles added to the yakisoba. It is said that it was a customer who came up with the unique name "Usoyaki" for the combination of udon and soba. Other dishes on offer include tonpeiyaki and salt-grilled squid, and oden in the cold season.

5Okonomiyaki den
A special okonomiyaki topped with plenty of seafood and mountain delicacies.

This okonomiyaki restaurant is particular about the ingredients they use. Their specialty is the "Den Special," a pork/squid okonomiyaki topped with plenty of seafood and mountain delicacies. It is made with the theme of "a complete okonomiyaki dish in one dish," with sujikon kon, buttered scallops, a fried egg, and two shrimp on top, which go well with alcohol, and then the okonomiyaki itself.
The cabbage, the key ingredient in okonomiyaki, is "Senshu cabbage," which has a high-quality sweetness and freshness. The homemade sauce and mayonnaise have a subtle, gentle flavor that brings out the natural flavor of the ingredients.
The menu features fresh vegetables delivered from farmers all over the country.

The restaurant focuses on using vegetables from farmers it encounters while traveling around the country, and this was triggered by its encounter with Iteya Farm, which grows Senshu cabbage.
The owner himself visits farms to help grow the vegetables, so the restaurant is only open in the evenings. With the goal of "creating a restaurant that is supported by farmers from all over the country," he uses the cooking and preservation techniques he learned from farmers to provide dishes that allow you to fully enjoy the deliciousness of local specialties. There are also dishes such as vegetable steaks that use the most delicious seasonal vegetables at that time of year, so you can discover new flavors every time you visit, which is another attraction.
