Nick Kutcher's art and designs are highly regarded both in Japan and overseas as one of Hawaii's leading artists. His prints with motifs of nostalgic Hawaiian lands and spots are by far the most popular, but if you go to his shop you'll find many creative goods such as water bottles, stickers, and tapestries. One of these, the embroidered patches, are even more special because you can enjoy tinkering with them in your own way after you buy them.
You can stick them on your bags, clothes or anywhere you like and feel like you're in Hawaii at all times.

The composition is reminiscent of a traditional Hawaiian quilt, and the idea of combining vivid colored paper with flowers and plants found in every home gives it a new yet nostalgic atmosphere, and even the scent of the good old days. And those who are fascinated by her work say that Laura Pillar's prints give them energy. The way flowers and plants that were supposed to decay are picked up by Christine's hands and arranged and stored in a cute way gives it a fun feeling as if they are living a second life, and a liveliness that is not inferior to fresh flowers.

The miracle of bringing nature to life on paper

After working as a photographer for a famous surf brand, she started Laura Pillar three years ago, hoping to create artworks with Hawaiian nature as a motif. In fact, this is the name of her husband's grandmother. The witty brand name Grandma Pillar embodies Christine's precious feelings about family, life, and Hawaii. Since the material is natural, it is impossible to create the same thing twice, so she hopes to print and deliver it to you as a one-of-a-kind, heartwarming piece of art.

This palm-sized Hawaiian pose hook is wall-mounted and made of porcelain, so it is functional, has a smooth texture, and just looking at it will warm your heart. "Shaka" is a hand sign used daily in Hawaii, and is a friendly greeting such as "Let's take it easy" or "Thank you." Jason Doe's Shaka Hook, which is filled with a Hawaiian message, is popular with both men and women, and although there are several shops that carry it, it is said to be a phantom item that sells out as soon as it arrives.

You won't be able to take your eyes off the stylish designs created by high-end jewelers.

Even before the word "sustainable" became widely known, he started collecting driftwood that washed up on North Shore beaches and using it to create his works 12 years ago. He makes shell and plastic works, and paints palm trees and beach girls on any material he can think of, attracting the attention of tourists longing for the North Shore. In particular, his Coco Tree series, each tree of which is different, is full of a carefree and North Shore-like atmosphere. He will be taking home a souvenir in his suitcase, along with a sense of relaxation that only someone who lives here can have.

His many works are the result of a happy life

Ever since first visiting the North Shore 32 years ago, Jen Johnson has been in love with this place ever since. The calm sea in summer, the sea that attracts surfers from all over the world in winter, and the daily walks along the sea with a cup of coffee in hand.
"I never get bored of picking up shells and sitting under a palm tree looking at the view. I'm really happy to be living this kind of life. It's because I live here that I've been able to work in the art I love, and I've picked up so many things," she says, and just seeing her smile makes us feel happy.

"L'atelier de Claire" means Claire's workshop. She moved to Hawaii seven years ago from New York where she worked as a fashion designer. She says that her lifestyle has changed drastically from her fast-paced days. She started this job, listening to the natural environment of Hawaii and wondering if she could live a sustainable life that contributes to the community, and it is now Claire's life's work. She calls the flowers she grows at home and the plants she finds during her and her husband's hiking hobby Hawaiian beauty, and magically incorporates them into her sophisticated products.
