Crab cream croquette that continues to win gold medals at the Croquette Grand Prix

Located in the Asakusa Kannonura area, this Western restaurant was founded in 1941 (Showa 16). It is a famous restaurant that represents Asakusa and is frequented by many celebrities.
The shop's specialty is the "Crab Cream Croquette," which has won the gold medal for seven consecutive years in the cream category at the Croquette Grand Prix held by the Japan Croquette Association. The bechamel sauce, made with boiled snow crab juice, has a mellow taste with concentrated crab flavor. The batter, fried in freshly made homemade lard extracted from pork back fat, has an addictively light and crispy texture, and when you put your chopsticks in, the generous amount of sauce oozes out from the thin batter.
A family favorite preserved by two brothers

This is a family-run restaurant, with the older brother currently managing the restaurant and the younger brother acting as chef. The brothers continue to preserve the traditional flavors established by their grandfather and father.
Another specialty, demi-glace sauce, is a proud flavor of the restaurant that takes two weeks to complete. The rich flavor is created by slowly simmering the umami of beef and vegetables with red wine. It is not added to, but is made to taste the same with the perfect amount, taking into account the weather and temperature at the time. If you want to enjoy the taste of the sauce directly, we recommend the Hayashi rice, which is limited to 10 servings per day.

Located on the banks of the Sumida River, near Sukeroku Yume-dori Street, this cafe and dining establishment serves breakfast and brunch dishes made with lavish amounts of fresh vegetables.
The popular menu item, "Avocado Toast," comes in two varieties: poached eggs with chili powder, and vegetables that change with the season. The store also has a bread factory, "Manufacture," on the third floor, where freshly baked bread is available during breakfast hours.
The attractive menu is made with ingredients that are homemade and healthy for your body.

The theme of this restaurant is "eat good." Another attraction is that you can eat food that is good for your body. They select fresh ingredients grown in a familiar environment, and they insist on making their own bacon, dressings, and drink syrups without using any chemical seasonings.
The shop has an open, open ceiling. It is decorated with antique furniture and accessories, creating an exotic atmosphere reminiscent of Brooklyn. During the day, pleasant light pours in through the large windows. It's a shop you'll want to visit for a nutritious breakfast to start your day.

3Paiichi
A beef stew from the downtown area that continues to capture the hearts of fans

Paichi started as a bar, but became a Western-style restaurant in 1936 (Showa 11) and is currently run by the third-generation owner and his family.
The specialty is "beef stew" served in an iron pot. The beef belly, which stands out in the pot, is stewed to perfection, resulting in a crisp finish. Vegetables such as carrots and potatoes are also added to the pot at different times, each cooked to the perfect softness. The smooth stew has a somewhat Japanese feel, with a rich taste of the ingredients.
A full menu of fried dishes made with great care

The interior of the restaurant has a Japanese feel that makes it hard to imagine it is a Western restaurant. The previous owner, his father, liked the interior, which is full of a traditional downtown feel. The walls are decorated with photos of the Asakusa specialty "Sanja Matsuri" and other items such as lanterns, and you can feel the owner's love for festivals.
The fried dishes on the menu here, such as fried shrimp, pork cutlets, and kushikatsu, are also popular. Just like in the past, they are made in a large oil pan, with careful adjustment of the heat, and are made with great care. In the evening, it's also nice to enjoy a variety of fried foods with some alcohol.

4Wine & Dining EKA
Bolognese with a Japanese twist

This dining restaurant is run by Komagata Maekawa, a long-established eel restaurant in Asakusa. You can enjoy Italian and French cuisine along with Spanish wine.
The signature dish is the "Asakusa Bolognese." It is a Japanese-style Bolognese made by simmering beef tendons from domestic black-haired wagyu beef in soy sauce, tomatoes, and Spanish red wine, then mixing them with chewy, flat, fresh pasta. You can also enjoy changing the flavor with the seven condiments that come with the set: sudachi citrus, ginger, myoga, sesame, shichimi, sansho pepper, and shiso leaves. The refreshing condiments accent the rich Bolognese sauce, allowing you to expand the Japanese flavor to your liking.
Enjoy pairing with exclusively imported Spanish wines

Komagata Maekawa also puts effort into serving wines that go well with eel, and has exclusive wine imports from Spain. The restaurant always has more than 20 types of wine, mainly from Spain, which is rarely found in Japan, in stock, allowing you to enjoy pairing them with your food.
At lunchtime, they offer a great value plate set and a daily pasta menu. They also have a full course menu, with a variety of high-quality dishes made with carefully selected ingredients at reasonable prices. For dessert, we recommend the cakes made with seasonal fruits by the store's in-house pastry chef.

5Marugoto Vegan Dining Asakusa
Vegan & gluten-free tempura curry

A dining establishment located along the Sumida River that serves vegan dishes that do not use animal products such as meat, fish, or dairy products.
The most popular menu item is "Tempura Curry," a curry topped with mushroom and seasonal vegetable tempura. The tempura is made with ground chickpeas instead of wheat flour and deep-fried in coconut oil until crispy. The oil-free curry has a smooth texture with the aroma of original spices. The brown rice used is "Yumepirika," a Hokkaido variety grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers, showing the restaurant's commitment to selecting ingredients.
Providing meals to cater to people with all dietary restrictions

The menu is free of gluten, the five pungent vegetables (vegetables with a strong smell such as onions and garlic), and alcohol. There are plenty of dishes to satisfy even those who are new to vegan cuisine, including hearty lunch plates. Desserts such as natural ice cream and donuts that make the most of the sweetness of the ingredients are also popular.
Every day, customers from all over the world, cultures and customs visit the restaurant. As the owner himself is a vegan and has had many experiences, he pays close attention to every aspect of the food and customer service, creating a restaurant where everyone can feel comfortable.
